Eric Maruscak

Cartoonist and Chalk Artist

For the past 18 years I have been creating giant chalk murals as live performance art for conventions and festivals, and I’ve been a Cartoonist my whole life.

I create illustrations, web comics, and all manner of fun things. I like artwork that tells a story, or creating full sequential art narratives. Enjoy browsing my art below, or reach out to me for a chalk art appearance, commission, or other art projects.

Chalk Art as
Event Marketing

Each chalk mural takes about 25-30 hours to complete over 3 days, and average around 9 feet wide by 13 feet tall. They can be done outdoors on pavement, or indoors on paper so there are no worries about weather or cleanup.

I have been fortunate to make these for major clients across the United States, and at some of the biggest pop culture conventions in the industry. Click below to see various chalk art galleries.

Cartooning
and Illustration

I grew up with a love of cartooning – newspaper comic strips, comic books, classics like Beetle Bailey, Broom Hilda, Hagar the Horrible, and B.C., to the big 80’s names like Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County and the Far Side.

I collected comic books for years, and have always been deeply passionate about art, illustration, and cartoons. Please, enjoy some of the art work I have humbly contributed to the medium.
